Mary K. Foreman

From the front door to the back office, whether knee-deep in proofing a consequential brief or sharing a case update on a friendly call, office manager Mary Foreman possesses a unique combination of professional and personable that makes her an invaluable asset and beloved colleague.

Recognized as an Unsung Hero by Michigan Lawyers Weekly in 2022, Mary has played a pivotal role in the firm’s success. Her well-developed management and organizational skills allow her to consistently keep order in an often chaotic and fast-paced environment, while her meticulous attention to detail and collaborative nature ensure that the firm’s work product and court submissions are flawless and of the highest caliber.

Mary is skilled in office management practices, including attorney billings, accounts payable/receivable, coordinating with vendors, training support staff, and continuous efficiency improvements. Mary also has an extensive background in legal support, drafting pleadings and correspondence, interacting with and submitting filings to state and federal trial and appeals courts, and case file management from generation to archival.

But Mary’s talents and the value she adds to the firm and its clients go far beyond proofing and pleadings, personnel and billing. In addition to her acumen at multitasking and her relentless work ethic, Mary’s personality, attitude, and ability to connect with people of all stripes facilitate a more enjoyable and productive workplace and forge closer connections between our attorneys and the clients we serve.

Perceptive and innately attuned to the importance of listening to what people say and understanding the significance of what they don’t, Mary tailors her communications and interactions to each person’s unique style and proclivities. She is the type of person attorneys and clients confidently entrust with their most serious matters but also one with whom they would happily share a laugh or a drink. Simply put, Jacobs and Diemer could not have established itself as one of the nation’s premier appellate boutiques without Mary’s talents, effort, and commitment.
